welcome (LG rumor)

The purpose of this blog is simple, and I'll just go straight to the point. Over the past year or two, I've come to possess a few different phones. And in doing so, I've picked out features from each phone that really just...I can't think exactly how to describe it. But basically if i could build my dream phone, I'd pick this feature from phone: A and that feature from phone: B etc. So anyway I'll just start with my current phone, the LG rumor.

so far this phone has been my favorite, and that's saying a lot considering one of the phones I've owned was a blackberry. This phone's tight. so here are the features i really like:

  • QWERTY keyboard
  • easy Internet access. I'm talking like...you slide it open and there's a button for email and if you have recieved an email lately than lo and behold there's a little (1) or something next to the email button. It's just great.
  • media player
  • camera
  • memory card
but this is a double bladed sword. There are a few things that irritate me slightly about the rumor

  • it's lack of respect for me (it shuts down randomly without letting me know...as if it feels like it can just take a break whenever it feels like it's been working too hard.
  • it doesn't viberate when i get and email...no big deal but i do kind of wish that would happen.
  • loud buttons
  • while it's really cool that this phone has a key pad on top you can use or a full qwerty key board, my problem with the key pad on top is that the rows are off center. if you plan to do a lot of serious texting in class, and you have to use the top key pad this is guaranteed to piss you off.
  • if I'm sending a text while receiving a text, my outgoing text will sputter and pout for a while and then just give up and go to outbox. i wish it would just send.
Now don't get me wrong, i love this phone. these cons i mentioned aren't a big deal. they're just small things you're going to have to deal with but i promise its worth it. it's  a great phone ftw.
